The Place Where I Got Shivling For Sawan Month

India is a country where people worship God and Goddess in different ways. I’m a devotee of Lord Shiva and Mata Sati. I’m inspired by their life and love stories so I decided to get a Shivling for Sawan month 2018 to worship them.

It was 22nd of July and I was damn excited for the “Sawan Ke Somvar” and that’s why I needed to visit the market. Starting from “Gurjar Ki Thadi” to “Mansarovar” (both are the localities in Jaipur) I visited almost every shop that could have Shivling in it. I entered the gift shops (because one of my friends gifted me a Shivling brought from a gift shop), the shops where worship material is sold and some other shops in the market. I visited a number of shops namely, Annapurna Gift Shop, Ganesh Pujan Samagri, Parvati General Stores and so on.

When I was visiting the shops in Gurjar Ki Thadi, I asked some people which shop will I find the Shivling in. They suggested me to visit the market of Mansarovar. They assured me that I’ll surely have it there. Without wasting even a single second, I turned my scooty and went to Mansarovar.

I visited almost every shop in Mansarovar but couldn’t find what I wanted. At a shop in Mansarovar, I was suggested to visit a shop in Gurjar Ki Thadi. The shopkeeper told me that you may find the Shivling there. I rushed to that shop as it was already 9.30 PM and as far as I know most of the shops in Gurjar Ki Thadi get closed till 9.30 to 10.00 PM. As I was not sure about the shop I was scared of not having the Shivling on the same day.

Finally, I found the shop and asked shopkeeper for a Shivling. She showed me some Shivlingas of different sizes, I chose one of them and purchased it. It was an ultimate moment I was waiting for.

PS: I’m not trying to show of that I’m a great devotee of Lord Shiva. I only shared this story just because I heard about medium and wanted to share something on it. It is another matter that I wanted the first story to be related to Lord Shiva.
