When you look at the current state of battery technology on the surface you cans see how far humanity has come from their past of being without electricity. The advancements made in so little time show a testament to human ingenuity, however that point of view is simply the surface. As researchers delve into the sodium ion technology they face issues that limit its capacity to hold charge over time thus makin them less preferred over its sodium counterpart. This has been a main issue that has plagues sodium ion batteries since its advent days of research. Studies from Washington University/PNLL show improvements on this issue thus showing the world where the main research is taking place.
