Tonight I printed photos of him and us, in preparation to be given to him along with a handwritten letter.

As I flipped through them, all I could think was how he’s someone I could follow to the end of the world; and that’s a measure of how truly and deeply I love him. Would I ever stop loving him? I doubted so.

And yet I felt so sorry at the same time that I could never be the one he loves. Not even remotely close to how I feel for him.

I feel immensely guilty for being a captive of my emotions and our past, a brief moment in time when he told me he loved me and he was happy and had everything he needed in life. A glimpse of a future of us together. A moment. A love. A dream. A kiss.

I want so bad to rewind time and stay in those moments forever.
