People watching people
every glance creating quantum shifts
Rushing, strolling, stillness
Observational meditation
mindful stimulation
Breaking through the mundane
with human connective pathways
Beautiful people
collecting beautiful memories
Sadness, grief, trauma
hiding beneath the surface
If only we could open up more
Connect through our shared humanity
Start a dialogue, confess a secret, share a story
My mind wouldn’t have to create stories for the fun of it
then people watching wouldn’t be so fun
for the intrigue is in the mystery
The unknown, untapped potential and possibility

I wonder where that person is wandering to.

I wonder what that person is running from.

In one moment of people watching when I sat on a park bench waiting to meet a friend, I noticed bats were gathering in a tree in the park. People mostly rushing past me. I looked up at the tree, collectively triggering other people to look upwards as well, as if curious to what I was looking at.

Many of them seeming disappointed to find it was simply bats. How uneventful, I laughed to myself.

Funny to think about collective energy all rushing to get somewhere, so consumed in doing the next thing, getting to the next place.

In moments of people watching I can become immersed in the ideas and stories of others. Imagining where they may be headed to, what things inspire them, what are they passionate about. I love observing the way people interact and communicate too, the little details about them I can notice as they pass by.

Indulging in the infinite and intricate possibilities.

I love people watching, it is endlessly entertaining.
